Jesse Berger

Founder and Artistic Director

Since founding Red Bull Theater in 2003, Jesse Berger (he/him) has directed productions of Pericles, The Revenger’s Tragedy, Edward the Second, Women Beware Women, The Duchess of Malfi, The Witch of Edmonton, The Maids, Volpone, Loot, 'Tis Pity She's a Whore, The Changeling, and The Government Inspector for the company.  Jesse’s adaptations of The Revenger’s Tragedy and Women Beware Women are published by Dramatists Play Service. Red Bull Theater produces a variety of classical and contemporary work under Jesse’s leadership, including the OBIE Award-Winning Revelation Reading Series, free Bull Session discussions, Shakespeare in Schools outreach, Master Classes for classical acting, the annual Short New Play Festival, and ....keep reading

Martin Giannini
Executive Director

Martin (he/him) joined Red Bull Theater in May, 2023 as the company’s first Executive Director after serving as General Manager of the Broadway Dreams Foundation since 2019, with prior nonprofit engagements at Roundabout Theater Company, Westport Country Playhouse, and Theater Raleigh. As a producer, Martin has mounted projects in New York City and London and received an Olivier Award for the 2012 West End revival of Eugene O’Neill’s Long Day’s Journey Into Night. Martin is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine. 

Sherri Kotimsky

General Manager

Sherri (she/her) came to Red Bull Theater as General Manager in August 2015, after serving as bookkeeper for a year. Her career as General Manager, Finance Consultant, Production Manager and Producer extend back to years at The Mint Theater, Theater Breaking Through Barriers, Naked Angels, Pace University’s Schimmel Center, Pearl Theater and MCC Theater. During a 13-year break from Theater, was the Financial Controller for the Netherlands Board of Tourism.

Nathan Winkelstein

Associate Artistic Director

Nathan (he/him) has been with Red Bull Theater for eight years. He is the Producing Director of The Revelation Reading Series as well as the host of "The Redbull Theater Podcast". He also serves as the casting associate for Red Bull. Dubbed 'The Pied Piper of Shakespeare' by world-renowned director Des McAnuff, Nathan has acted or directed for numerous companies around the country, including The Alley, HVSF,  Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Shakespeare Theater Company, LCT, The Folger, American Shakespeare Center, and others. He has taught for Red Bull, STC, LCT, TGS, and Maggie Flanagan Studio. Nathan received his BA in Theater from the University at Buffalo and his MFA in Classical Acting from the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK. Nathan is a proud member of Actors Equity.

David Gersten & Associates is a full-service boutique firm, providing effective publicity and marketing for a diverse range of clients through print, broadcast, electronic, and social media. David has worked as press representative, marketing consultant, and producer on Broadway, Off-Broadway, and across the country. In addition to Red Bull Theater (since 2007!), other not-for-profit theater companies currently represented include Godlight Theatre Company, Mint Theater, and NAATCO, among others. David serves as Vice-President and a Trustee of ATPAM, the Association of Theatrical Press Agents & Managers (IATSE), as well as the Off-Broadway Steward. He is a member of the Off-Broadway League and Vice-President and co-founder of the Off-Broadway Alliance.  More Information

Jessica Fornear

Marketing and Producing Associate

Jessica (she/her) began working with Red Bull Theater at the end of their 2019-2020 season as a stage manager and OBS designer followed by her administrative fellowship. In the last three years she has contributed to the production of nearly thirty online and in-person Revelation Readings in addition to Bull Sessions, Remarkabull Podversations, and productions. Jessica received her associate degree in theatre, film, and television from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts and her bachelors degree in business management from the College of Staten Island. Before Red Bull, Jessica worked as a freelance stage manager for numerous companies and universities in and around New York City and completed a stage management apprenticeship at the Juilliard School.
