Literary Submissions

We are unable to accept unsolicited manuscripts at this time, with the exception of our Annual Short New Play Festival.

Please read all guidelines and review our mission and history before sending an inquiry. If you have questions, please write nathan@redbulltheater.com.

Literary Agent Submissions

Red Bull Theater is interested in new full-length plays or new translations and adaptations of world classics that relate to our mission. We accept submissions from literary agents only.  If you have a play that you feel is right for Red Bull Theater, please have your agent send a letter of inquiry to artistic director Jesse Berger. Include your bio, a synopsis of your play with character breakdown, and the play's production or development history. We will contact you only if we are interested in pursuing your submission further.  The only exception to this is our annual open-submission Short New Play Festival.

Please do not mail unsolicited submissions.  We are unable to return manuscripts or respond to unsolicited inquiries.

Casting

Red Bull Theater holds annual EPA’s at Actor's Equity, and works with Stuart Howard Associates as our regular casting director for productions.  Watch for breakdowns and postings about specific opportunities.  If you would like to send your information for consideration for readings or other opportunities, feel free to submit your picture and résumé to us by regular mail to: Red Bull Theater-Casting, 191 Seventh Ave, Suite 2S, New York, NY 10011.

Please do not email unsolicited headshots or résumés.

Volunteer

We are very grateful to our many Volunteers. Volunteers help in many areas, from ushering, helping with mailings, parties distributing postcards, and more. If you are interested in volunteering, please email sherri@redbulltheater.com.

Internships and Apprenticeships

As part of our commitment to developing the next generation of classical theater professionals, we engage students and early-career theater artists in our Apprentice/Internship program. This hands-on program allows interns and volunteers to collaborate with Red Bull Theater artists and administrators. Red Bull Theater volunteer apprentices and interns are paired with a staff member who mentors their assignment and provides guidance and supervision. There are no acting internships or apprenticeships possible at this time. Candidates must be self-motivated, eager to learn, willing to assist, and able to work independently. Students are eligible for college credit, based upon the guidelines of their college or university, with flexibility to accommodate each institution’s specific requirements. To apply, please send a letter specifically outlining your interest, three references, and current resume to sherri@redbulltheater.com. PDF's only, please.
